What We've Been Up To

Morley Arts Festival

The Brief

Morley Literature Festival has been a widely attended literature festival held each year in Morley. Celebrating its tenth year they came to us with the idea of a rebrand into Morley Arts Festival to include all forms of the arts but without forgetting its literary past.

Our Solution

Bright, bold and playful colours were chosen for the branding, not only was the brand needing to attract the attention of adults, but children as well. Keeping in mind that the arts festival website is to be used by all ages, website navigation was key. Simple, effective & mobile responsive was the way to go.

Wright Financial Advice

The Brief

Wright Financial Advice have had a website for numerous years but no web presence when it came to Google. Their current site was a standard template supplied to them with their telephone number and email address added to it with no SEO. Want Creative soon sorted that out.

Our Solution

Once we had collected all of the content and designed an effective sitemap we could begin construction of the website. We had a photoshoot of the team to get some imagery incorporated to break up the text heavy content along with some typography. When the site was complete we packed it full of SEO to get them the place they deserve upon Google.

They approached us requiring a bespoke website showcasing their services and past work with certain features they’d like including in the design.

Our Solution

After outlining the features that Olio wanted including we worked the design around them and incorporated the circle theme that they’ve used in their logo. The projects page needed to list all of Olio Events previous jobs and give a little description with a link to a page with more detail about said job. Big Bean, Little Bean, Teapot

The Brief

As a brand new cafe and a first time business owner Big Bean, Little Bean, Teapot needed guidance on what was needed and what would benefit the business whilst keeping costs as low as possible. Big Bean, Little Bean, Teapot offer speciality teas and coffees along with a varied selection of cakes in a welcoming environment all served with TLC.

Our Solution

We wanted the logo to have a playful aspect without compromising the professional impression. The graphic elements of the logo being the teapot and coffee beans are strong throughout the entire branding and add to the playfulness which only compliments the menu design further. The idea of the loyalty card with its custom designed ink stamp was a suggestion we proposed in order to encourage customers to return. The pavement sign was so that they could place it on the high street to attract new customers who was unaware of the cafe and its location. The shop sign speaks for itself, it’s bold and grabs the attention of all passer-by’s.

The Outcome

In its first few weeks of trading Big Bean, Little Bean, Teapot have already gained a collection of regular customers along with a daily supply of new customers.

Carl Adams Driving School

The Brief

Carl had the idea of having some gift vouchers made for 10, 20 and 30 lessons. We suggested to him that to make it more cost effective if he was to have 1 design which he could fill out how many lessons the voucher was valid for himself. He also wanted some business cards designing and printing.

Our Solution

We based both the gift voucher and business card on the flyer that we have previously designed for him to keep the branding strong. We utilised the other side of the business card to create an an appointment card for his students.

Gomersal Gardening

The Brief

Gomersal Gardening, Landscaping & Building are specialists in lawn maintenance and hedge trimming. They have been operating for over 20 years and this year they decided to get some professionally designed and printed business cards and leaflets along with a logo.

Our Solution

We wanted to incorporate an earthy feel to the brand by using browns and greens with grass and leaf graphic elements. The leaflet needed to showcase all of the services without looking cramped therefore a white background was used to give a simplistic impression.
